ABOUT ME

Originally from Lancashire in the North West of England, I also spent two years working in Wexford, Southern Ireland within customer service before moving to Australia in 1998. My diverse life experience and vocational experience within the sporting sector, influenced my choice in becoming a sports and performance counsellor in 2004. Since this time I have built up extensive knowledge, training and experience sport and counselling environment.

My service delivery whether it be individual counselling or group presentation is built on an in-depth education in sports psychology/counselling and career guidance and largely uses Cognitive Behavioural and Person Centered principles. Utilisation of these theories allow me to examine a clients thinking around situations they are experiencing, to confront beliefs that have negative consequences with the aim to find positive solutions and to gain awareness of how they can accomplish tasks productively.

One of my greatest skills is my ability to adapt to a range of clientele, understand their requirements and change my delivery style and program content to suit the clients I work with.
